Family Car Service is properly licensed and insured to provide professional transportation to their clientele.  Family Car Service will only network with transportation services that do the same. Most ‘vehicle for hire’ companies who quote low prices are not properly insured or licensed.  This is something you may want to be aware of when you price shop for the least expensive service.  You will likely be contracting with an illegal operator.  Family Car Service can provide the necessary documentation for proof of insurance and permitting upon request.  Our prices are competitive, yet structured to provide safe and legal transportation services.

All drivers are subject to screening and approval by our insurer and local county consumer affairs.  As a prerequisite all drivers must fulfill requirements for a Chauffeur (Hack) License and, or CDL.

• Every driver, company, and vehicle must have a license in Palm Beach County to operate and conduct Palm Beach to Palm Beach service. Buses are excluded.
• Every driver, company, and vehicle must have a license in Broward County to operate and conduct Broward to Broward service. Buses are excluded.
• Every driver, company, and vehicle must have a license in Dade County to operate and conduct Dade to Dade service. Buses are excluded.

Each county has rules of reciprocity that allow a properly licensed operator based in one county to begin or end their service in another county. A properly licensed Palm Beach based company can pick up in Palm Beach, and drop off anywhere in Broward, or Dade County, and vice versa for other neighboring counties.

Family Car Service is permitted to provide transportation to Dade County, or pick you up from Dade County and take you back to Broward, or Palm Beach County.

Family Car Service has the additional permits to pick up or drop off at Miami International Airport (MIA). Every vehicle is equipped with a MIA transponder. Every pass through MIA is $3.00 for Sedans, SUV's, Vans, Limos, and $10.00 for busses.

Family Car Service has the additional permits to pick up or drop off at Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

Family Car Service has the additional permits to pick up or drop off at the Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale.
